We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our client's team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role requires a dynamic leader who can oversee financial accounting and accounting operations while ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting. Responsibilities:

• Manage a financial accounting team ensuring efficient operations and seamless collaboration.

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes by reviewing and approving journal entries and reconciling balance sheets.

• Enhance audit readiness by coordinating with auditors, streamlining communication, and providing complete and timely documentation.

• Oversee expense reporting improvements and support the implementation of new systems to standardize processes.

• Maintain ownership of month-end close activities, focusing on strengthening controls, accuracy, and coordination across teams.

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, adhering to all applicable regulations and standards.

• Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering growth and development.

• Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis initiatives.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency.

• Monitor compliance with internal policies and external financial regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.

• Strong expertise in managing month-end close processes and general ledger activities.

• Proven ability to conduct and support financial statement audits.

• Demonstrated experience in preparing and analyzing financial reports.

• Excellent leadership skills with a history of managing and developing teams.

• Proficiency in utilizing financial systems and software for reporting and analysis.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Effective communication abilities to work collaboratively across departments.

BBA in Accounting required. CPA required. May consider an actively testing CPA candidate.
