We are a team of Silicon Valley electrical engineers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders working on an innovative automated flight platform.
We are seeking a Senior Aerospace Engineer to lead the Aerospace aspects of the project and join us as a co-founder. The right candidate must have proven experience in automated flight control, aerodynamic design and optimization, stability, flight simulation, and avionics including high-performance mixed mode feedback control (electrical, mechanical, aero). Candidate must have experience working with position sensors, Quaternions, and related flight control programming techniques to accurately control the flight path of the vehicle based on electronic inputs. Operational specifications include attitude and position control, waypoint and terminal guidance engagements, and navigating contested environments including communication and GPS denied environments.
This role will focus on guidance related projects and involve usage and direct implementation Guidance Navigation and Control work (GNC).
Structural design, CAD (e.g., Solidworks, Onshape, etc.), and 3D printing experience a plus.
You will be involved in very early-stage product definition, refinement, and prototype implementation. Timelines are key, and a proven ability to build working systems is required.
This position will start as a contract position and transition to full time with both cash and founder's stock.
Compensation: Competitive Base + Founder's Stock

Requirements
MS or PhD Aerospace Engineering with proven experience in the relevant fields.
Work from home with some required travel for field testing.
CA and WA Resident Highly Preferred (Silicon Valley/Seattle Area)
