Accounting Intern

Description

Position Purpose

The Accounting Intern will support the Accounts Payable team by assisting with a vendor account audit and helping ensure accurate and complete vendor information in our accounting systems. This role provides hands-on experience in accounting processes, system navigation, report generation, and professional communication with vendors.

Pay Range: $17.84 - $19.23 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Audit vendor accounts to ensure accurate setup and ongoing compliance.
• Review and validate vendor information, including 1099 status and tax documentation.
• Update and correct vendor records within the accounting system as needed.
• Contact vendors via email and phone to confirm details and obtain missing information.
• Build working knowledge of internal accounting systems to access and extract key reports.
• Partner with the Accounts Payable team to support day-to-day operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude under pressure.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with customers and internal teams.

Physical Requirements

• This position may require lifting to 25 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
